Beyond Nuclear and Sierra Club won a BIG victory in Oconee on February 24th, 2022 – NRC Commissioners remanded Duke’s Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) application for Oconee to NRC for an updated environmental review.
The decisions will delay the SLR process by about two years. Meanwhile, Beyond Nuclear and Sierra Club can continue to build the case on Oconee. Next step will probably will be comments on a draft Generic EIS for subsequent license renewal.
