Columbia Friends Meeting has participated in King at the Dome event for a number of years if not from the beginning. Several friends participated this year with the Columbia Friends banner. We feel privileged to have been a part of this event and to have had an opportunity to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. who contributed so much to the peace, harmony, and justice of our country and the world.

- The 35th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ceremony is happening today at 4 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Jr. Park and Community Center, (2300 Greene St.). Columbia Native and NBA Hall of Famer Alex English will be the keynote speaker.
