Plowshares 7

This summer we (Jim, Diego, and I) participated in two anti-nuclear events at Soda City. I shared with that group the news of the Kings Bay Plowshares 7. A cousin of mine, Carmen Trotta, is one of the 7. You can read more about the 7’s action at Kings Bay at the link below.
We’d like to start a letter-writing solidarity action so that Carmen and others serving prison time know that they’re not alone. If you’d like to join, let me and Priscilla Preston  know.

With deep gratitude- to all who want to join with especially deep gratitude to the Kings Bay Plowshares 7 for their courage to act against nuclear weapons, Debbie Billings

Mutual aid projects are a form of political participation in which people take responsibility for caring for one another and changing political conditions, not just through symbolic acts or putting pressure on their representatives in government, but by actually building new social relations that are more survivable.  Most mutual aid projects are volunteer-based, with people jumping in to participate because they want to change what is going on right now.  — Big Door Brigade
