A delegation from one of Columbia’s Sister Cities, Accra, Ghana, will be in town May 12th,
2022.   The world’s tallest peace pole is just outside Accra, on the campus of the Kwame
Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana.

Arrangements have been made for the delegation to visit the Vista Peace Pole.  They are
staying at the Columbia Hilton.  They will have breakfast with Mayor Rickenmann at the hotel
before they walk to the Convention Center.  The plan is to visit the Vista Peace Pole en route
and have the Mayor speak of the Vista Peace Pole’s installation and significance.    The World
Affairs Council hopes to get a photo of everyone with the peace pole and share the news and
photo with the Columbia Peace Pole Initiative Committee and others.
