Glenda Swearington of the McGregor Presbyterian Church will offer a presentation on “Guns to Gardens – Gun Violence Prevention Movement”.
Guns to Gardens is a faith-based gun violence prevention movement that hosts anonymous, community-led events where individuals can surrender unwanted firearms. Volunteers permanently dismantle the weapons on-site, and the scrap metal is subsequently forged by blacksmiths and artists into garden tools, jewelry, and art.
