May 21st Robert Barclay’s Apology (1676)

On May 21st, During the Second Hour (11:30am), Sallie Prugh will present Robert Barclay’s Apology (1676): “The classic systematic statement of Quaker faith”. To participate in this event remotely, please join our regularly scheduled zoom meeting.

350 years ago, Robert Barclay felt very strongly that Quakerism offered a unique and important path toward spiritual growth and collective well-being. He wrote this “Apology” as a defensive of the ideas and practices that were being developed among Friends. Sallie will share a bit about this document and offer some time for reflection and sharing on how this text might support Friends today.
