Learn about invasive insect species and what you can do to help.

Saturday July 16th 11:00-12:30pm


RSJoin us for a talk with local USDA Officers about traps, like the ones at the Orchard, and learn more about how we can protect our local trees, plants and crops from other invasive pests that harm them, like, invasive Fruit flies, the Spotted Lanternfly, and the Asian Longhorned Beetle.

This Family Friendly event will have coloring pages, bookmarks, bug face masks and other cool take-home swag for all ages. Some snacks and cold drinks will be provided. Consider bringing a hat, water, sunscreen, chair, and questions. Mingle with other sustainability enthusiasts and professionals in our shade!


Rosewood Community Orchard at Owens Field is a permaculture community garden that promotes sustainability and offers a meandering vibrant sanctuary.
